Arterial Duplex

We will perform a detailed scan of arteries in the arm and/or leg to evaluate the vessels that supply blood to the extremity
Common examples for having this ultrasound scan are:

  • Look for blockages or narrowing caused by plaque in the arteries of the arms or legs.

  • Look for enlargement of the arteries in the arms or legs (aneurysm).

  • Monitor existing arterial disease or follow-up after surgical intervention.


We will provide a Radiologist report within 24 hours. 

 

Pre-scan preparation
Eat and drink as you normally would the day of the test.
Maintain normal medication.
